Black bear diner is one of my favorite diners ever since Cindy's closed down .
They have that cabin feel throughout the restaurant. With wooden wood sculptures both inside and outside the restaurant.
The service has always been hit and miss. You either get that waiter that is friendly and very attentive or the one that seems like he is being forced to be at work.
The food is good and extremely hearty. The portions are huge. I'm a big eater and even I cannot finish the food. So if you come here come hungry.
My favorite is always the biscuits and gravy. Although today the biscuits tasted different extra dense if that makes any sense.
In the end I'll pick this over ihop or Denny's any day of the week. -

Just disappointed! Customer service failed miserably today! We get there at 8:30 am with plans to be somewhere at 10 am. We are seated at 8:45 and don't receive our food until 9:40 am. Thanks for making us late!
Also, people who came after us were served and had paid to leave already. How does that happen? All those people where White as well. Never want to bring up the race card but this establishment clearly prioritizes there customer service based on race. Yeah, I said it.
We took our food to go, and I'll be taking my business somewhere else going forward. Oh by the way, two plates cost $37 dollars.... make sure if you charge a premium for breakfast that you give ALL customers a premium service! -

This location was just OK. Fairly close to the freeway for easy access. Parking wasn't that great though.
Corned beef hash was delicious as usual. Problem is that they were a little stingy with it. Normally these more of the corned beef and less of the potatoes. Not sure if they changed they portion sizes or it was just this location. The potatoes and peppers were tasty, just seemed to serve as a filler.
The wife had eggs Benedict. It tasted good but the poached eggs were a little under cooked. The Canadian bacon seemed to be extra salty. Over all it was still a decent meal.
We'll probably skip this location next time though. -

Huge portions for the money. Sometimes on Saturday mornings they have Prime rib and eggs....depending on whether they have prime rib left over from Friday night. Maybe a bit overcooked but very flavorful. Cream pies and fruit pies awesome. Chicken apple skillet also fantastic. Wait staff friendly.

My grandma and I went after church (10am-ish) and there was about a 15min. wait. ... it was worth it! The service was great and so was breakfast! Also, our waitress went above and beyond to physically show/ walk my (79yo) grandma to the restroom, such a kind act!
